Shaffer’s Barber Shop has been a local favorite in Lewistown, Pa. known for the owner Kimberly Shaffer, 54, who has been providing haircuts to the citizens of Mifflin county since her military days.

Shaffer originally had no intentions of being in the cosmetic business or let alone own a Barber shop. She learned how to cut hair as a side gig in the army, and eventually built her own clientele.

Originally from Montgomery County, NY. Shaffer graduated from Valley Central High School in 1978, and pursued a career in the Army from 1980 to 1983, where she would then complete a degree in Business management and open her own Barbershop located on 1001 W. Fourth St, Lewistown, Pa.
